We had an idea of the extension that we wanted to build on our Padma Hotel in Bandung which location proved a real challenge, but Envirotec suggested some excellent ideas that transformed our Hotel even better.

When the design of the resort building was presented to us, we were impressed with the modern feel with local Balinese touches. The building was also designed ensuring it is sustainable and eco-friendly in the long run, supporting the vision of the future. The building was also cleverly designed in a W shape so that almost all rooms are built facing the Indian Ocean with natural sunlight, allowing all guests to enjoy the sunset from their private balconies. Balinese landscape was incorporated in the exterior design as well, evident in the outdoor gardens – a concept inspired by the terraced paddy fields.
The lobby and guest walkways are also designed for the pleasant island air to flow through with its ‘open’ design concept with natural daylights. The lobby which is perched atop the highest level allows uninterrupted views of the Kuta Beach. Being at an elevated level from the streets also allow the resort to be a calming sanctuary to our guests. 4 years down the road, we are also now proud to be an award winning property for its architecture. Awarded the Best Rooftop Resort in the World Luxury Hotel Awards for 3 years running, we were very happy with the design and thought process behind the building architecture which incorporated the modern, sustainable, and cultural part into one amazing product!

Over the last 3 years of working together on HDI Hive Menteng, we have built up a great relationship and I have tremendous respect for the capability of the team. I am thrilled about the outcome and more importantly, the way the entire project was managed. It all started with a grand vision- to create an iconic and instantly recognizable building true to our brand in the middle of Menteng, Jakarta-and without ETI, that vision would not have become a reality. Indonesia has no shortage of architectural firms and in such a crowded field, it’s not easy to stand out. However, I consider ETI to be one of the best firms in the country and would love the opportunity to collaborate with them again.
